Writing a number in a standard form is expressing a very large or a very small number in the form of  \( a\times { 10 }^{ n }\) where  0 < a < 10 and n is an integer.

For example consider a large number \( 2383638938.35 \) can be expressed in standard from as \(2.38363893835×10^{9}\). Which can be rounded off to 3 significant figure as \(2.38×10^{9}\).

Also consider a small number consider \( 0.0003728923 \) can be expressed in standard from as \(3.728923×10^{-4}\). Which can be rounded off to 3 significant figure as \(3.73×10^{-4}\).
